What is the “Songs of Hope” Open House?

A free community event centered around uplifting music, service, fellowship, and hope. Guests can enjoy music from the Tabernacle Choir broadcast, take part in a hands-on service project, explore family history resources, and enjoy refreshments.

When is the event?

Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

Where is it held?

Mount Vernon Library Commons.

Is the event free?

Yes. The event is completely free and open to the public.

Who is invited?

Everyone — individuals, families, friends, neighbors, and community members of all backgrounds.

Do I need to stay the entire time?

No. This is an open-house style event, so guests may come and go anytime between 6 and 8 PM.

What is the service project?

A simple community service activity designed to help people in need. Supplies and instructions will be provided.

Is there a dress code?

No formal dress code. Casual attire is welcome.

Is this a religious service?

No. It is a community open house focused on music, hope, service, and fellowship. While sponsored by the Church, everyone is welcome regardless of faith background.

Will food be provided?

Light refreshments will be available.

Is the event family friendly?

Yes. Children, youth, and adults are all welcome.

Do I need to register?

No registration is required.
